When I was first getting into real estate, every obstacle seemed like a mountain. There were situations that came up during those initial inspections and negotiations, many years ago, which truly challenged me. Thanks in part to the sound guidance from my mentors and role-models, leaders and titans of the Portland real estate industry, I not only made it through those early years, I thrived.
Fast forward to today, and I’ve learned a thing or two. I’ve also pulled together a team that I can count on, and together there’s nothing we can’t work though.
But I remember how intimidating the process was back then, and it’s those vivid memories that remind me what my clients are going through. If I had to guess, I think it’s that empathy for my clients which is the number one factor in the Drew Coleman Team’s success (though working like a dog comes in close second).
Guiding people through the quickly moving waters of real estate, being their representative, closing the transaction with grace, and overcoming those initial anxieties is not only what we do, it’s what we love doing. Every time we meet with a new client, I’m inspired by their goals and aspirations. That I get to be a part of a team which helps actualize those dreams is something I cherish.
In 2001, Drew graduated from college, enjoyed a nice, long three-day weekend, and then got to work in residential real estate. He hasn’t stopped since.
Now, 20 years later, he’s become one of Oregon’s most decorated real estate brokers, having steadily grown his team year-over-year, even through the crash of 2008 and the uncertainty of the COVID era. In 2020, Drew was the highest producing broker at The Hasson Company, which ranks 1st in the Pacific Northwest for average sales volume per broker. In 2021, The Drew Coleman Team closed $175 million in sales with close to 350 transactions.
High sales volume isn’t his only focus. Drew is also actively involved as a leader in his local industry. Having served as the 2019 President of the Portland Metropolitan Association of REALTORS®, he recently finished his term as the 2021 President of Oregon REALTORS®, where he worked to provide enriching experiences for his fellow agents. He is now involved in industry leadership at the national level, graduating as a member of the 2020 National Association of REALTORS® Leadership Academy.
He’s also actively engaged with the Portland community. He actively partners with local nonprofits by leveraging the unique media abilities of his team to help tell their stories in compelling ways. When asked what has influenced the success of his business, Drew points towards genuine empathy and a spirit of collaboration with his clients, an exhaustive work ethic, and an embracing of the digital market space.
A well-traveled soul, Drew even spent some time living in Vienna as a child. But he is quick to tell you that out of all the places he’s been, there’s no place in the world like Portland. It’s why he chose to make it his lifelong home and place of business, long before the market became what it is today. He calls it the perfect backdrop for his lovely wife and three energetic children.

Allison’s deep understanding of the Pacific Northwest comes from having grown up in the heart of Lake Oswego. As she came of age, she watched and learned as her parents achieved great things in the real estate industry. Her father, Ed Buchman, made a successful career as a broker with The Hasson Company; her mother, Lynae Forbes, did the same and is now the President of that same brokerage. So you could say that Allison’s had a little exposure to the business.
While still a student at Lake Oswego High School, she worked at Gubanc’s Pub in the Lake Grove neighborhood. It was at that reputable and cherished LO staple that she learned that the value and joy of building lasting relationships with a clientele and navigating the challenging, open waters of business were two things she needed in a career.
Upon graduation from high school, Allison ventured up to Seattle to earn her degree in Business Management with a minor in Entrepreneurship from Seattle University. After that, an opening on The Drew Coleman Team came up, and she seized the opportunity to work with one of Portland’s most recognized teams. After receiving her Bachelor of Arts in Economics from the University of Puget Sound, Katie went on to get her Master’s in International Studies at the University of Oregon as well as her law degree and certificate in nonprofit management. She first started with our team as a client concierge, working our digital switchboard and pairing incoming client leads with their perfect fit from among our buyer’s agents. Born and raised in Lincoln City, Oregon, Alexa Howell is a self-described “coastie” at heart but loves the city life and grew up traveling all over the world.
While working to graduate in three years with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management from George Fox University in Newberg, Alexa interned for The Drew Coleman Team during her senior year. The fast-paced, ever-fluctuating, and inspiring environment was a good fit. “Working with Drew in college,” she says, “I knew that his team was the only one I’d want to work with because of his love for change, growth, and relationships with people.”
Our former intern returns to us from account management, where she mastered sales contracts, negotiated and won over clientele with great customer service, and problem-solved through 2020 with businesses to find what worked best for them during the pandemic. Between her relational skills, work ethic, and problem-solving prowess, her buyers will be treated with respect and care throughout the entire real estate process.

A few years back, Drew & Marisa Coleman became Jeff Kersten’s new neighbors in Lake Oswego. Listening to Drew talk about the team and services provided is what perked his interest in becoming a licensed agent. Today, Jeff is a buyer’s agent on the team.
He comes from a 35-year background in the insurance industry as a consultant. “Solving problems and meeting new people was what I liked most about my previous profession. As a buyer’s agent, I get to meet new people nearly every day and make their wishes come true by helping them find the house of their dreams.

Jeff is also a longtime member of the football coaching staff at Central Catholic High School, teaching young men life lessons using what he believes to be the best game on the face of the planet. He prioritizes volunteering time and energy at his church and also enjoys golfing, crabbing, digging razor clams, and anything else outdoors.
He and wife Marianne love going to the Oregon Coast – their “happy place” – along with their English bulldog, Tilly. “We are also blessed with 5 children and 6 grandbabies who stop by to love up on us many times a week. Nothing in life is better than family!”

She earned a Bachelor of Science degree from Portland State University in Community Health Education. Before coming to The Drew Coleman Team, she worked with Providence Health Plan, wrestling complex plans into tangible benefits for her clients as a customer service specialist.
Alisha has lived in the Portland metropolitan area her entire life and gets excited about all its quirky nooks and crannies. An avid Timbers fan, she shows no pity. Married with two young sons and two rambunctious dogs at her home in Beaverton, life is full – and a joy.

Gretchen’s background is rooted in the legendary service culture of Nordstrom. Through twelve years in makeup and skincare sales, plus experience in managing cosmetic lines, she established a loyal clientele, some of whom have now become close friends of hers.
It is this connectivity that translates seamlessly into what’s required of her in her role on The Drew Coleman Team.
As buyer coordinator, Gretchen assists our many buyer’s agents by taking on administrative tasks and setting appointments, freeing up their time to be fully available to their clients. Adaptable, reliable, and detail-oriented, Gretchen is right at home in this supporting role. “I love working with people and helping them find exactly what they want and need – at the same time making sure they know all the details that go into such big decisions.”
On her own time, Gretchen relishes being outside in nature – especially at Oregon’s beaches (she’s a native of Lincoln City on the Oregon coast). She’s up for any type of exercise, including hiking, running half marathons, and salsa dancing. She’s even been known to teach yoga and pilates classes.

Originally from Portland, OR, Jon graduated from the University of Oregon and spent time living in Montana and Germany. He remains partial to Oregon, though: “Where else are you an hour away from all outdoor activities at all times?”
Jon resides in the Tigard area with his wife, Victoria – also a DCT buyer’s agent. When not working, he stays plenty busy with travel, cooking, woodworking, metalworking, pop culture, brewing, gardening, fishing, hunting, hiking, backpacking, watching the Vegas Golden Knights play hockey, and hanging with their pets. “I have a gorgeous cat named Bilbo who wants your attention but also hates you. Our German shepherd, Uhtred, is a sweet angel unless you’re a squirrel.”

Summer Morris fell into real estate by accident. “I was offered a position with a real estate company as the marketing coordinator and slowly fell in love with the industry. I moved into an administrative role, began working on getting my Oregon real estate license, and started searching for teams I’d like to join that could offer me more.
“Enter The Drew Coleman Team! I’d followed the team for a while on social media and admired their work, so I decided to reach out directly. The rest is history! I am so ecstatic to be a part of this team.”
All things listings – Summer is your gal! What she brings to the table is positivity and attention to detail. She efficiently partners with sellers in getting their homes listed and sold, while infusing the process with a sense of fun and excitement. She’s been known to remain in touch with clients long after finding them the perfect buyer.
An Oregon native – originally from a tight-knit family in Eugene – she now resides in the Milwaukie/Sellwood area with her significant other, Ethan, and their adorable golden retriever, Tempe. She loves hiking, exploring the outdoors, and finding new spots in Portland. “This is such a big city and I feel like I find a hidden gem each time I go out. Every time I leave this state, I always come back appreciating it even more. Go see Sahalie Falls if you haven’t yet, it still takes my breath away!”

After observing her husband Jon’s journey as a buyer’s agent with The Drew Coleman Team, Victoria Gooley made the move to join up as well. “The top team in Portland, they’re incredibly supportive and education-focused. I’m eager to provide a service to people about something I care about in a place I love.”
Born and raised in NE Portland, Victoria appreciates Portland for its easy access to the mountains for hiking and backpacking, the coast for fishing and crabbing, and central Oregon for desert, snow, and forests. “Oregon is truly beautiful, and you can escape to any climate you’re looking for. Though I’ve done a lot of travel around the states, Canada, Asia, and parts of Europe, I still keep coming back home to Oregon!”
With a Bachelor’s degree in Exercise and Sports Science from Oregon State University, as well as 14 years of customer service experience under her belt, Victoria takes pride in going about her job with confidence, efficiency, and understanding. She looks to be open and honest with her buyers as she helps them find their dream homes. “The real estate process can be a very challenging one, especially mentally. I know from experience: It took almost seven months to find my home! I’ll be there each step of the way to help guide and support my buyers.”
In addition to outdoor activities, Victoria loves lifting weights, eating spicy foods, and trying new things. Notably, she and Jon are known to attend comic cons. (Look for her as Catwoman or Wonderwoman!)

Douglas was born in Great Falls, Montana, but grew up exploring the wonderful small towns of Alaska. After graduating from the University of Washington (go Dawgs!), he obtained a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Stanford University. Douglas worked for nearly 40 years in the nuclear energy industry before retiring from the field in 2010.
His career led him and his family around the world, including a three-year stint in Vienna, Austria where he served as a nuclear safeguards inspector for the International Atomic Energy Agency. They were fortunate to be there when the Iron Curtain fell in Europe and to witness firsthand the many resulting changes.
Following retirement, Douglas and his wife Lis moved to Portland to live near his son Drew and family. It wasn’t long before he pursued a broker license in order to help Drew grow his business. Douglas assists The Drew Coleman Team with technical tasks and is a wizard with spreadsheets.

After picking up a camera in high school, Mitch quickly knew he wanted to do something in the media world. He went to George Fox University to play baseball and study graphic design, then fortuitously ended up switching majors and graduating with a bachelor’s degree in film and video production.
In his spare time, you can catch him drinking coffee or having an afternoon beer, going on walks with his wife Nadine and dog Mozzie, and playing golf on the weekends.
An Idaho native turned Oregonian, Mitch has a creative mind and is fascinated with new ideas and challenges. He loves to tell stories through the eyes of a lens and brings a young, fresh perspective to our team. (Those amusing outtakes that kick off our monthly market update videos? All Mitch.)
Creative, charming, and dynamic, photographer/videographer Andy Pham brings a quick smile and an infectious positivity to our in-house marketing team.
Raised in Troutdale, OR, just outside of Portland, he earned a degree in marketing & advertising from Portland State University. Why the Pacific Northwest? He counts himself a fan of “the laid-back culture and the four seasons we get here. There’s a little bit of everything, from mountains to the coast.”
As a freelance photographer, Andy started out working primarily with branding and portraiture. He then forayed into real estate photography and – referred by an existing agent on the team – he soon joined the DCT.
“I love capturing spaces,” he says. “That’s the basis for most photographs. But for the real estate industry itself, it is constantly growing and changing. There are so many different avenues to the business that I was unaware of before starting to work in real estate.
“I feel like this is what I am supposed to do. It aligns to a tee!”
Beyond his role as a visual storyteller, the West Linn resident is a foodie who enjoys trying new cuisines with his friends and family. On the flip side, he can often be found adventuring outdoors on a snowboard, surfboard, or skateboard.
At the age of eleven, Will Storey had a basketball coach by the name of Drew Coleman. Fast forward a number of years, and Will has chosen to come aboard Drew’s team once again.Born and raised in Oregon, Will went to Lake Oswego High School and followed in his father’s footsteps by accepting a football scholarship to Oregon State. Prior to entering the world of real estate, Will worked in major event production, opened and owned his own restaurant, and worked in Advanced Innovation at Nike. His passion for high-quality products and authentic relationships is what led him to join The Drew Coleman Team.Will is a value-driven, strategic thinker who places high esteem on meaningful connections. His passion for real estate began early with a family-owned construction business and with an architect father, and yet his interest in real estate extends past physical property to a love for interiors and furniture design. As a northwest native growing up in Walla Walla, WA, Andrea Strohmaier grew up coming to the “big city” of Portland, always knowing that someday she’d call it home. After a few years in Arizona after graduating from Washington State University, that’s just what she did.

Andrea’s past career experience includes several years managing a bridal salon as well as working as an insurance claims adjuster. Fate led her to The Drew Coleman Team. When her mother-in-law moved from Texas, she was so impressed with her home buying experience with the DCT that she connected Andrea with Drew and Allie. “The conversation just flowed. Wed in 2021, Andrea and her new husband make their home in Tigard and have two rescue dogs, a lab named Bailey and Pomeranian/chihuahua mix named Penny. Andrea loves spending time with her family, traveling, outdoor activities, Seahawks football, trying new restaurants, wine tasting, and catching a good Netflix series.
